Gun Expo Planned in Murrieta
The Shootist in Historic Downtown Murrieta is hosting a two-day Fall Expo family event on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4-5.

The Shootist, a full-line, full-service gun shop in Historic Downtown Murrieta, invites the community to a two-day Fall Expo.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4-5, The Shootist will host the Elite Sports Express, a traveling 75-foot showroom featuring the shooting sports industriesโ latest in firearms, accessories, optics, tactical guns and gear, shooting aids, knives, Tasers and much more.
Raffle tickets will be on sale to benefit the family of fallen Cabazon sheriff's deputy Sean Bahash. The drawing, to be held on Dec. 14, will give out a Colt AR-15 Rifle for law enforcement or a Colt 1911 pistol for non-law enforcement.

Factory reps will be on hand emphasizing new product education and to assist with purchases. Bring in your GLOCK on Friday to receive a free inspection/repair by a certified factory armorer between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
A free gift will be offered with firearm purchases, along with other purchase incentives.

Gatorz Vizion will be on hand showcasing their active sports eyewear for first responders, Military and outdoor sports enthusiasts.
Jim Matthews, the editor of Outdoor News Service, will be offering free Public Land Upland Bird Seminars, Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
Both Murrieta Police Department and Murrieta Fire Department will also be on hand promoting the "Fire, Police, Neighborhood" partnership for a safer community.
There will be information for children to learn about Eddie Eagle. Just as Smokey Bear teaches children not to play with matches, Eddie Eagle teaches them not to play with firearms with a simple, memorable four-part plan: If you see a see a gun: STOP! Don't Touch. Leave the Area. Tell an Adult.
"It is important for children to understand that only with a parent or with parental permission and adult supervision should a child be around firearms," said Erin Archbold-Silman with The Shootist.ย
Fire prevention and crime prevention coloring books, stickers and accessories will all be available at the family event.
"Since safety is everyone's responsibility, get your free gunlock while youโre there to help promote safe firearm storage in your home," Archbold-Silman said.
In addition, Boy Scout Troop 604 will be at the expo providing treats, as well as accepting retired or tattered American flags to use for proper flag ceremonies.
And Martinelli & Associates, one of the largest and most recognized law enforcement training and consulting firms in California, will be one of the many industry-related vendors offering services at the expo.
