Heartwarming Homecoming: Murrieta's Golf Sensation Rickie Fowler Helps Reunite Military Dad, Kids In Emotional Video

MURRIETA, CA โ Murrieta's sensational golf claim-to-fame, Rickie Fowler, is widely known around the Southern California community where he grew up. Though he now calls Florida home, Fowler is still considered among Murrieta's "gems," and the community is proud to call him a native of the city.
Not one to shy away from helping others, Fowler this week helped execute a heartwarming surprise for one of our nation's heroes, U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Bryane Greene.
Greene has been deployed for the last three and a half years in Afghanistan and Kuwait, spending day after day serving his country and missing his family. But on Wednesday, he was coming home โ unbeknownst to his family, who was attending the PGA Tour's Quicken Loans National just outside of Washington, D.C., where Fowler was playing in the pro-am.

Among the few who knew of Greene's trip home, Fowler was in on the special plan with the The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces to surprise the soldier's daughter Zshanea and son Bryane Green Jr., as well as cousins Narryn and Robin Fisher and JeNai Howard.
Greene caddied for Fowler for the 17th and 18th holes at the course โ and the big reveal was made to his family as he walked of the 18th green with Fowler. The rest is emotional history, which you can watch below.

Patch is told that while in Kuwait, Greene served as the G1 Senior Enlisted Advisor for the U.S. Army Central Command. He is currently en route to Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, to work in the Joint Individual Augmentee Division.
