Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Froehlich: I started the company now known as Saber in 1997, as South Coast Grinding, Inc. Iโve worked in the local communities of Southern California for more than 30 years.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work youโre in, and how did you get started?
Froehlich: Iโve always been a self-starter. I began a grinding business with my brother because it didnโt make sense to put all my energy working to grow someone elseโs business.
Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?
Froehlich: Redefining construction with WOW! service
Patch: Whatโs the biggest challenge or most difficult moment youโve faced in your job?
Froehlich: I went through an extended period of not hiring the right people, rushing to make decisions and making mistakes. Using the Supportworks network of dealersโ processes, Iโve been able to assemble a strong management team, and we are now positioned for growth in the years to come.
Patch: Whatโs the most satisfying part of your job?
Froehlich: A home is probably the largest investment people make. I like providing homeowners peace of mind, so they know they are back on solid ground when they work with us. I also feel a responsibility to the community to create jobs in an environment where employees can grow professionally and have fun.
Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Froehlich: Our core value is to redefine the home contractor industry by providing WOW! service to customers every time. We take that very seriously. Thatโs one of the reasons why we were ranked 10th out of the top 75 foundation dealers within the Supportworks network of independent home contractor businesses in North America.
Patch: Whatโs the best piece of advice youโve ever been given when it comes to success?
Froehlich: I received some very helpful advice from Larry Janesky, founder and CEO of Basement Systems, Inc., who said, โYou get what you deserve in business, the good and the bad.โ In other words, you reap what you sow. For the business to be right, you first must be right with yourself. You have to make good decisions. You canโt lead a team if you canโt manage your own life.
Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors youโre working on that youโre extra excited about?
Froehlich: Over the past 31 years weโve had the pleasure of helping homeowners stabilize their homes. And while that remains our core focus, we also have been growing our commercial business. Iโm excited that weโve recently added a new commercial sales manager and are progressing with our strategy of expansion. Another solution we are expanding is use of the innovative Polylevelยฎ solution to level concrete, a much cheaper solution for homeowners compared to replacing and matching concrete.
Patch: How can Patch readers learn more about your work and business?
