Inland Empire City Ranks Among America's Top 'Boomtowns'
An Inland Empire city has been named by a financial website as one of America's best places for prosperity and economic development.

INLAND EMPIRE, CA -- Menifee has landed at No. 35 in a โTop Boomtowns in Americaโ ranking by the financial website SmartAsset due to the city's growing prosperity and economic development.
Menifee, which is located about 15 miles north of Temecula and bordering the city of Murrieta, was incorporated Oct. 1, 2008 and has an estimated population of 94,000 within it's 46 square miles.
On the list, which was posted Dec. 5, Menifee was ranked lower than only two other California cities on the SmartAsset list: Milpitas and San Francisco. California cities that it ranked higher than were Santa Clarita (42) which is near Los Angeles; and Pleasanton (40), and Santa Clara, both of which are in Northern California.

In order to find the top boomtowns in America, SmartAsset looked at the most recently available data for 500 of the largest cities across the following seven metrics: population change, unemployment rate, change in unemployment rate, GDP growth rate, business growth, housing growth and change in household income.
SmartAsset looked at 500 large cities nationwide. The top five were Longmont, Colo., Denton, Texas, Mount Pleasant, S.C., Miami, Fla., and Greeley, Colo.
