At Least 1 Dead In Menifee Domestic Disturbance
UPDATED:: Witnesses at the scene reported hearing several gunshots in the area.
MENIFEE, CA โ A heavy police presence was spotted Monday evening in Menifee following a a domestic disturbance that ended in at least one death, officials reported.
Details related to the incident are limited, but a spokeswoman for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department tells Patch the agency was called around 4 p.m. to a home in the the 31000 block of Sherman Road, near Haun and Holland roads.
"The investigation revealed that a homicide took place," Sheriff's Spokeswoman Robin Flores said in an emailed statement. "The suspect is not outstanding and there is no threat to public safety."

Though officials aren't currently saying how the victim was killed, witnesses at the scene reported hearing several gunshots. An ambulance was seen rushing from the location with a full police escort, but it wasn't clear if that was the person who died, or if there was another victim.
As of 6 p.m., the area remained blocked to the public and more than a dozen law enforcement vehicles were spotted at the location. The sheriff's department's Central Homicide Unit was investigating.
