Loud Noises Heard Throughout Temecula Valley From Camp Pendleton
Have you heard any of the loud "booms"?
TEMECULA VALLEY, CA — Residents of Temecula and Murrieta this week may be hearing loud "booms" throughout the region — but don't be alarmed. The noises are likely the result of nearby exercises at Camp Pendleton.
The base's noise report for this week indicates officials will be "firing high explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu impact area" through Friday.
In previous similar exercises, police said the noise can travel as far as 50 miles away.
