Art is a Major Mental Health Benefit

(Jennifer Bonneteau | Artist)

Love yourself - It’s important

Many of us have found ourselves feeling lonely, worried and/or sad during this pandemic’s stay at home order. What do you do to keep the blues from taking you down?
One of the simplest ways is making art! Being creative, in any capacity, provides an enormous amount of positive mental health benefits.
Release every day worries and immerse yourself in being creative. Get in the zone!
MAC Arts Council of Murrieta is excited to announce a partnership with local artist, Jennifer Bonneteau, for a new program titled “A New Year, a New You” - a creative journey to a healthier, more wholehearted living; mind, body and spirit.
The 4-week creative journey will be conducted once a week for 90 minutes.
The creative expression sessions require minimal material and will serve to introduce people within our community to the benefits of art for our mental health.
Thanks to the Inland Empire Community Foundation, MAC has received a grant to offer (5) full scholarships to interested participants!
If you would like additional information, and to receive a scholarship application, please send an email to: MACarts951@gmail.com
The virtual class will begin on February 24th. Cost to attend all 4 weeks is $99. Interested parties may sign up at www.jenbonart.com.
Scholarship application deadline is: February 17, 2021
