Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Menifee Shooting

A 21-year-old Long Beach man was arrested for attempted murder in the Inland Empire after a shooting that occurred in Menifee.

INLAND EMPIRE, CA -- A 21-year-old Long Beach man has been arrested for attempted murder after a shooting that occurred in Menifee.

At 9:02 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Perris station responded to the 27000 block of Boston Drive in the city of Menifee regarding a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they located an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released for his injury.

After an investigation, Antonio Corleon Jimenez, 21, of Long Beach, was identified as the shooter and later taken into custody with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service. He was arrested for attempted homicide and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
