MEAD VALLEY, CA โ€” A woman was found fatally shot in a Mead Valley home and about a half-hour later, a man described as her spouse was found dead of a gunshot wound in a wrecked vehicle, authorities said Sunday.

Deputies found the woman's body about 8:20 p.m. Friday in the 20000 block of Rider Street, said Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Wallace Clear.

Just before 9 that night, the California Highway Patrol requested help from the sheriff's department regarding a solo-vehicle crash at Old Elsinore Road and Aloha Street, Clear said.
