Murrieta EMWD Customers Advised of Tap Water Odor

Some Eastern Municipal Water District customers in the Murrieta, French Valley and Winchester areas may experience earthy, musty odors from their tap water, it was advised today.

The issue was due to an algae bloom in the Metropolitan Water District supply at Lake Skinner, according to a notice posted on EMWD.org.

"Customers can be assured that there are no health risks involved with this issue and that all water supplies remain safe to drink," the notice stated.

Metropolitan Water District staff were working to resolved the aesthetic issue as soon as possible.
