A Murrieta schoolgirl has won a national pageant title, crowned the National American Miss California for 2012, the North County Times reported.
Maile Montillano won at the June 30 state pageant, according to published reports.
The student from Lisa J. Mails Elementary School won $1,000, a Disneyland trip and a tour through Hollywood, the NCTimes reported.

Maile will move on to the national pageant -- set for November in Anaheim -- the newspaper reported.
Maile is the daughter of Sherill and Marvin Montillano.
