Murrieta School District Office to Close for Electrical Work

The District Support Center, 41870 McAlby Court, will close from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 20 in order for Southern California Edison to replace a main transformer.

The Murrieta Valley Unified School District announced it will close its main office early Friday, July 20, to accommodate electrical work.

The District Support Center, 41870 McAlby Court, will close beginning at 11:30 a.m. Friday to allow Southern California Edison to replace the main transformer that provides electrical service to the offices, according to a news release.

During the electrical work, all the districtโ€™s servers and computers will be turned off and there will be no access to email or phone services from noon to 5 p.m. Friday.

"The district and school websites will continue to be online throughout the day," said Karen Parris, district spokesperson.

Additionally, paychecks for bi-monthly and substitute employees will only be available for pickup from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All employee paychecks not picked up by 11:30 will be mailed, the notice stated.
