You donโ€™t have to be a baseball fan to appreciate the skills that 11-year-old Devin Avedissian brought to the field in a recent tournament held in Murrieta.

At the Southern California event, YouTuber Dylan Rodriguez says the San Diego Force player scored the run โ€œ... in the decisive inning of the semifinal.โ€

But this wasnโ€™t just any run. In the play, the young ballplayer seems to defy gravity by not sliding home-- but by literally jumping over the catcher to stake his claim.

The San Marcos Wood Bat youth tournament was held March 29 in Murrieta, and the play by Avedissian-- nicknamed โ€Mighty Mouseโ€-- was all caught on camera. Watch below and tell us in the comments what you think!


Since the video was first posted, it hasย garnered nearly a half million views on YouTube.

And if youโ€™re wondering if the play was legit, league officials say it sure was. CBS Sports spoke with Mitch Anderson of San Marcos Youth Baseball who confirmed that it fit within league rules.

โ€œA very athletic move,โ€ Anderson told the outlet.
