Overturned Big Rig On I-215 Prompts Sig Alert, Major Delays
Morning commuters faced expect some extra delays Tuesday between Menifee and Moreno Valley.

PERRIS, CA โ Motorists traveling through the Perris area on the Interstate 215 corridor encountered extra delays Tuesday morning after a big rig crashed on the roadway. The California Highway Patrol reports the large truck crashed just after 5 a.m. on the southbound side of the roadway, near D Street.
Preliminary reports indicate a cement truck overturned, blocking all southbound lanes. Traffic was being diverted off at Nuevo Road and D Street.
A sig alert was issued at 5:13 a.m. and traffic reports indicated delays on both sides of the freeway as of 6:20 a.m. Crews cleared the scene shortly thereafter, though traffic remained heavy for some time.

Minor injuries were reported.
