MURRIETA, CA — A gas leak at Whitewood Road in Murrieta prompted the street's closure Thursday morning in both directions from Linnel Lane to Clinton Keith Road, police confirmed. Reports about the ruptured line began coming in around 10 a.m. in the area currently under construction. Some residents were advised to evacuate, according to the Murrieta Police Department.As of 2:30 p.m., roads were reopened and evacuations were lifted. There were no reports of injuries.
