Temecula CHP Seeks Victims Of Accused Cop Impersonator
Ryan Lee Meeker is accused of equipping his truck with police lights and trying to pull over a female driver in French Valley.

FRENCH VALLEY, CA โ A man who allegedly equipped his truck with red and blue lights in an effort to impersonate a police officer was arrested Wednesday after he tried to pull over a female driver in French Valley.
Ryan Lee Meeker, 45, of San Jacinto was arrested Wednesday morning at his home on Loriann Street following the Temecula CHP Office investigation that began Monday.
According to the CHP, Meeker tried to make a traffic stop on the victim around 1 p.m. Monday โ his white Ford F-150 truck was illegally outfitted with red and blue lights and a siren. Meeker had a child with him during the alleged attempt, according to the CHP.

The victim realized Meeker and his vehicle were not official, so she didnโt pull over. Instead, she captured the entire incident on dashcam video and turned the alleged evidence over to the CHP.
Investigators were able to track the Ford license plate to Meeker, and on Wednesday morning they caught up with him at his San Jacinto home. A search warrant was executed and CHP investigators found the truck with red and blue lights in the grille, red and blue lights on the rear window, and a siren. Other items seized were two handguns, an additional light bar, a total of four badges marked "security,โ and a gun belt, according to the CHP.

Jail records show Meeker was booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of impersonating a police officer and child endangerment. He posted $35,000 bail and was released the same day. He is due to appear in court in October.
Meeker has not been formally charged in the case and he has no documented criminal history in Riverside County, according to court records.
