The remnants of tropical depression Blanca, which earlier was a hurricane, are expected to bring cloudy and muggy weather to Riverside County Tuesday, including in the Coachella Valley, along with potentially heavy rainfall.
Increased moisture from the unsettled system is expected to bring a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms near the mountains and deserts tonight through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Some areas west and east of the mountains could get a few tenths of an inch of rain, while highland locations might receive around a quarter of an inch.

Forecasters said thunderstorms, if they materialize, could produce heavy rainfall in the Coachella Valley, along the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning, and in the mountains this afternoon.
The tail end of tropical depression Blanca is also expected to cool inland areas through Wednesday.

Highs today are expected to be 89 to 94 degrees in the Coachella Valley, 75 to 84 degrees in the mountains and 87 to 92 degrees along the San Gorgonio Pass, according to the weather service.
The chance of measurable precipitation today was set at 50 percent throughout Riverside County. Most of the precipitation is expected to end this evening.
Forecasters said the cloud cover and humidity would begin to exit the region by Wednesday evening. A trough of low pressure is then expected to move inland through the state, bringing dryer conditions.
