Weekend Traffic Delays In Southwest Riverside County

SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Caltrans and Southwest Riverside County cities are reminding residents there is road and freeway work planned this weekend in Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula.

Here are just some of the delays you can expect this weekend in Southwest Riverside County:

Interstate 215 in Murrieta

Repair work on Interstate 215 in Murrieta continues Saturday, with Murrieta Hot Springs Road on- and off-ramp closures, Caltrans announced.

The closures will impact the northbound side of the freeway from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Friday, maintenance work was underway on the southbound side of the freeway, between Los Alamos and Murrieta Hot Springs roads. The number 3 lane was closed and the Murrieta Hot Springs Road on- and off-ramps were shuttered on the south side.

Interstate 15 In Lake Elsinore

Crews will be performing maintenance on southbound Interstate 15, from state Route 74 to Main Street, in Lake Elsinore. The work will force alternating lane closures in the work zone starting at 9 p.m. Sunday night through Monday morning.

Old Town Temecula

The Temecula Stampede at 28721 Old Town Front Street is hosting its Old Town Music Festival in its parking lot this weekend. The event is expected to bring heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic to the area, city officials announced. The musical performances are scheduled 12-10 p.m. Saturday and 12-7 p.m. Sunday. Redhawk Parkway in Temecula

Northbound Redhawk Parkway in Temecula was fully closed Friday due to a break in a reclaimed water line, and the shutdown was expected to continue through Saturday, the city announced. The closure was reported between Overland Trail and Via Rio Temecula. The roadway was fully closed to motorists and pedestrians. Read more here.
