WINCHESTER, CA โ€” A 17-year-old Winchester teen was killed Wednesday afternoon in a Moreno Valley crash after a driver ran through a stop sign, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Logan Edwards died at the crash scene at Day Street and Bay Avenue shortly after 3 p.m.

Deputies out of the Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station determined in a preliminary investigation that the driver of a 2014 Toyota Corolla went through the intersection at a "high rate of speed." The Corolla plowed into the driver's side of Edwards' 2012 Ford Edge, causing the boy's vehicle to smash into a fence.
