Wind Gusts To 55 MPH, Advisory Issued For Much Of Western RivCo
The wind advisory will last through 12 p.m. New Year's Day.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA โ A wind advisory from the National Weather Service has been issued through New Year's Day for much of western Riverside County warning of gusts up to 55 mph.
The advisory will remain in effect through 12 p.m. Friday.
North winds will blow 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 55 mph along and near the southwest facing slopes of the San Bernardino County and Santa Ana mountains, and in the Inland Empire below the Cajon Pass, according to the NWS.

The agency warned that gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, and tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
"Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle," the agency said.

Cool temperatures are forecast across the region on New Year's Day, with daytime highs in the upper 50s and overnight lows dipping to the mid to high 30s.
