10th Annual Napa Truffle Festival Underway
The four-day event runs through Monday, when festival-goers get the opportunity to sample black truffle prepared in a variety of ways.
NAPA COUNTY, CA — The 10th annual Napa Truffle Festival is underway in Napa County. Friday's events began at 9 a.m. with a scientific truffle grower seminar followed by an orchard tour and dog training demonstration later in the day, according to organizers of the food and wine celebration.
The event was started 10 years ago by the American Truffle Company, which aimed to bring the European black truffle to American diners.
This year's Napa Truffle Festival ends Monday with the opportunity to sample black truffle prepared in a variety of ways by market merchants.
