6th Annual Napa Valley Half Marathon, 10K, 5K Still on for Sunday

NAPA VALLEY, CA -- Despite the poor air quality in recent days, the Sixth Annual Napa Valley Harvest Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, is still on course to be held Sunday morning, November 11.

The road race starts and finishes in the parking lot of the Calistoga Beverage Company, located at 865 Silverado Trail N. – in the heart of Calistoga, in the north end of scenic Napa Valley. The three courses travels south on Silverado Trail -- a paved roadway -- to the turnaround just before Pickett Road for the 5K, at the 3.1 mile mark for the 10K and at Crystal Springs Road for the Half Marathon. Run routes retraces themselves back along Silverado Trail, which will be closed to car traffic, and back to Calistoga.

The course is flat and fast with two minor hills. The entire route is surrounded by vineyards and wineries, with vistas of the surrounding mountain ranges, including Mt. Saint Helena and the Palisades.

The event is limited to 1,000 participants, but registration is still open. Current entry fees:

• Half Marathon:

Adults (18 years and up): Half Marathon: $90, October 1-November 10; $100 race day

Youth (17 years and under): $20

• 10K Run:

Adult (18 and up): $60 October 1-November 11; $70 race day

Youth (17 and under): $20

• 5K Run/Walk:

Adult (18 and up): $50 October 1-November 11; $60 race day

Youth (17 and under): $10

Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, and personalized award ribbons will be given to top three individual finishers, male and female, in each five-year-age group in all three races. All half-marathon finishers will also receive a special medal for completion.

Check-in and race-day registration begin at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, with all three races starting at 8:30 a.m. All parking will be in the field directly behind 1856 Lincoln Ave., which abuts the back side of Calistoga Beverage Company.
