Amy Poehler Netflix Movie 'Wine Country' To Film In Napa

The comedic actress of "Saturday Night Live" and "Parks and Recreation" fame will act in, produce and direct the film.

NAPA, CA — Amy Poehler is directing a new movie for Netflix that will be set in the Napa Valley. Poehler will act in, produce and direct "Wine Country," with an all-star lineup of comedic actresses as her co-stars: Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Maya Rudolph, Emily Spivey and featuring Tina Fey, Netflix confirmed in a March 20 Twitter post.

The comedy — Poehler's directorial debut — is about a group of friends in Napa for a weekend getaway to celebrate a 50th birthday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Scene-setting photography for the film will begin this month in Los Angeles and Napa.
