NAPA COUNTY, CA — Cal Fire's Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit doused a brush fire that broke out Monday afternoon just outside Napa city limits.

The fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Avenue, north of Coombsville Road and about a mile from Silverado Middle School.

There was no immediate word on the size of the blaze but Cal Fire said forward progress was stopped by 2:25 p.m.
