With offices closed and events curtailed for the past year, local public agencies have had limited opportunities to engage with customers, but now it’s time to Drive Up To a Greener You! On Saturday, May 22, simply drive, walk, or bike to Second and Seminary streets in Downtown Napa. From 10 am to 2 pm you will find an array of exhibitors eager to help you conserve our precious natural resources.
Looking for easy ways to save water during the drought? City of Napa Water is giving away free showerheads, hose shutoff nozzles, hose timers, and other devices. Come away with your own handy water conservation kit! Confused about where your “stuff” goes: recycling, compost, or landfill? Test your knowledge (or theirs!) with City Solid Waste & Recycling staff and win a prize that will help you in your effort to divert materials from the landfill! Did you know it is Bay-Friendly Garden Month? Stop by the Napa County Resource Conservation District (RCD) booth where the whole family can learn about ways to conserve water in outdoor spaces.
