"Clear the Shelters" Pet Adoptions this Weekend

Visit your local animal shelter this Saturday Aug 15 and take home a new pet into your family. Animal shelters throughout the Bay Area and across the country are supporting National Clear the Shelters Day and encouraging adoptions with reduced or no-cost fees, as well as waiving spay and neuter fees.

Here’s a partial list of the local animal shelters participating in the Clear the Shelters event this Saturday.

Napa County Animal Shelter 942 Hartle Court, Napa 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Humane Society of the North Bay 1120 Sonoma Blvd., Vallejo 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Petaluma Animal Shelter 840 Hopper St., Petaluma 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Sonoma County Animal Services 1247 Century Court, Santa Rosa 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

If you can’t make it to the shelter on Saturday there are other ways you can help. Shelters are always in need of volunteers and donations of money and time. Consider adopting a shelter animal even if you can’t do it on Saturday.
