A Day For The Dogs To Benefit AARRF Rescue In Napa This Sunday, Aug. 13

NAPA, CA -- Come out to Astro's Agility Academy at Valley Brook Equestrian Center this Sunday Aug 13 starting at 8am for our Day for the Dogs. Admission is free, but this is a fundraiser for Aarrf rescue, so we hope that you will give a small donation for lunch and bid on our silent auction items. We'll also be pouring wine by the glass should you wish to donate for an adult beverage. Many of Napa's rescues will also be on hand with adoptable pets who are hoping to leave with you for their new forever home.

Starting at 8am, we'll have an agility run and then you can try the course with your own dog. You'll be amazed to watch some of the best dogs compete on our brand new agility course, and you'll be entertained by some dogs who are still in training. Following the competition, starting around 10am, you are invited to bring your own dog onto the course to see what they can do. We'll have trainers available to help but you'll need to keep your dog on leash.

Napa rescue groups will arrive starting at 10am with adoptable pets for a meet and greet with you and your family. Please consider opening your heart and your home for one of these pets. They will give unconditional love and years of laughter.

After the agility fun, we'll fire up the BBQ at 11am for lunch including chicken, burgers, veggie options, salads, a soft drink, and dessert. A small tax deductible donation is requested for lunch - adults are $10, children under 12 are $5. Wine will be served for an additional $5 donation per glass.

Be sure to stop by the ranch house where we'll have a silent auction running until 12:30pm with many amazing items donated by local dog-loving businesses. Remember all proceeds go to Aarrff, a 501c(3) herding dog rescue that uses agility training to help rehab dogs who are difficult to place and match them with people who understand the special needs of these breeds.
