Napa Brush Fire Brings Evacuations At Westwood Hills Park

Evacuations were mandatory at a Napa park due to a brush fire.

UPDATE 4:45AM-

A brush fire in a west Napa park has been controlled, as firefighters spent a good part of Thursday afternoon and evening cleaning up.

The 10-acre brush fire at Westwood Hills Park caused the evacuation of the park off Browns Valley Road. No residences were evacuated.

NAPA COUNTY, CA - Napa Fire officials are evacuating any residents that might be in Westwood Hills Park at this time due to a brush fire that is burning. No homes have been evacuated.

Nixle information released by Napa police and the City of Napa asks you to avoid the area at this time if possible.

Ten engines, a water tender and a helicopter responded to the fire reported around 1:50 p.m. at the park off Browns Valley Road, according to the fire department.
