Expect Traffic Delays On Hwy 128 As Crews Inspect Bridge
According to a Caltrans traffic advisory, motorists should expect delays up to 15 minutes.
NAPA COUNTY, CA — Motorists traveling on state Highway 128 Thursday in Capell Valley should expect traffic delays near the Capell Creek Bridge construction site, Caltrans advised.
Starting at 8 a.m. Aug. 6, construction crews will perform a bridge inspection of the temporary modular steel bridge. Crews completed the steel bridge in June, shifting traffic onto the temporary bridge as crews construct a new bridge.
"Temporary one-way traffic controls will be in place as motorists should expect delays up to 15 minutes," Caltrans District 4 Spokesman Pedro Quintana said.

"The new bridgewill be completed as early as summer 2021 at which time the permanent new bridge will be opened to traffic and the temporary bridge eventually removed," Quintana said.
The speed limit on the bridge remains reduced to 25 mph.

Last week there were traffic delays at the construction site because crews were bringing in two large cranes.
