NAPA COUNTY, CA — Napans can expect traffic delays next week if traveling on state Highway 128/Silverado Trail near the Conn Creek Bridge.

Caltrans will have one-way traffic control in effect overnight Monday and Tuesday as crews work to complete road repairs for the Conn Creek Bridge Replacement Project.

Flaggers will direct motorists during these closures, and traffic delays are to be expected during the overnight hours of 5 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday and again from 5 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

On Friday, road paving is scheduled during the daytime hours and will require traffic shifts.

"The project is necessary because of the wear and tear on the existing bridge’s foundation from the creek’s current," Caltrans District 4 Spokesman Pedro Quintana said. "The new bridge will be wider to accommodate trucks turning right from eastbound SR-128 (Conn Creek Road) onto Silverado Trail."

The bridge construction is tentatively scheduled for completion by December, Quintana said.
