Grocery Outlet Now Open In North Napa

The store on Solano Avenue created 35 jobs for the community.

NAPA, CA — Napa residents now have another option for grocery shopping. Grocery Outlet Bargain Market opened Thursday at 3385 Solano Ave. — the former site of Vallerga's Market — in the Redwood Plaza in North Napa. The store, which is independently operated by a local family, created 35 new jobs in the community.

"I am overjoyed to be a part of the North Napa community and be able to provide big savings on quality groceries," said Patrick Gaul, independent operator of the new store. "This partnership with Grocery Outlet gives me the ability to grow my business, create new jobs and more importantly, give back to my local community."

In celebration of the store opening, the North Napa Grocery Outlet is giving customers a chance to win a grand prize of $1,200 in free groceries. Now through June 18, customers may enter the contest by going online to Groceryoutlet.com/win-groceries-north-napa.

Grocery Outlet is a third-generation, family-led company founded in 1946. It is based in Emeryville and now has more than 350 locations in six states: California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington. Each store is run by a local, independent operator.

Grocery Outlet says it is able to offer the same brands as traditional grocery stores but at lower prices because its buyers scour the country to find the top manufacturers with excess inventory and seasonal closeouts.
