'Helps People With Disabilities In Emergencies': Napa Valley Hero

The helpers are the people who make life better. Nominate your Local Heroes to give them the recognition they deserve, presented by Ring.

NAPA, CA— When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This one comes from Charlotte Tyran, who nominated her coworker, Victor Hurtado.

Hero's job: Nonprofit - Disability Services & Legal Center

Reason for recognition: Victor is the only employee who is holding down the fort in our Napa office. He helps all callers and people dropping off or picking up documents. Plus, he speaks English and Spanish, which is very helpful for our disabled consumers in Napa.

One thing to know: Victor would never nominate himself for his hard work. He is very humble and kind. He works diligently on multiple projects, including helping people living with disabilities learn about their resources during emergency situations like wildfires.

Thank you for all you do, Victor!
