Lane, Highway Closures Scheduled On Silverado Trail/Hwy 128
Motorists should expect delays because of lane and highway closures, Caltrans advised.
NAPA COUNTY, CA — Motorists should expect traffic delays on state Highway 128 / Silverado Trail over Conn Creek in Napa County starting at 6 a.m. Friday and again at 6 a.m. Monday, according to Caltrans.
The delays are because crews are slated to install key bridge components for the Conn Creek Bridge Replacement project.
Between 6 a.m. and noon Friday and again from 6 a.m. until noon Monday, crews will need to temporarily close a lane or the whole highway between Conn Creek Road and Sage Canyon Road, Caltrans advised.

Flaggers will direct motorists during these closures.
"The project is necessary because of the wear and tear on the existing bridge’s foundation from the creek’s current," said Caltrans District 4 Spokesman Pedro Quintana. "The new bridge will be wider to accommodate trucks turning right from eastbound SR-128 (Conn Creek Road) onto Silverado Trail."

Construction is scheduled to take place during daytime hours with bridge construction tentatively expected to be completed by December, Quintana said.
