Police Locate Missing Los Altos Man: Updated

An 88-year-old Los Altos resident who disappeared Monday night, and whose car was seen in Vallejo on Tuesday, has been located.

UPDATE 8:00AM-

LOS ALTOS, CA - Los Altos police announced Wednesday morning that a man reported missing from his Los Altos residence has been located.

At 5:13 a.m., police simply reported ***Missing Person has been located and is safe he was returned to his residence.*** on Nixle.

LOS ALTOS, CA - Los Altos police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an 88-year-old Los Altos resident who disappeared Monday night.

Police say Dave McClanahan, who was last seen at his residence in Los Altos, left his home in a light blue Acura MDX (CA license #5THW605) and has not been seen or heard from since.

According to Los Altos police, McClanahan's vehicle was seen in the area of Fairgrounds and Gateway, in the City of Vallejo, at about 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police say McClanahan is considered at risk due to health concerns and takes medication, which police believe he does not currently have.

Dave McClanahan is described as a Caucasian male adult, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds with grey hair and green eyes.

He was last seen wearing a light blue button-up shirt, white pants, and an unknown color baseball style cap.

Anyone with information regarding McClanahans’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Los Altos Police Department at (650) 947-2770.
