Motorcyclist Dies In Crash With SUV At Napa Intersection: Police
A 26-year-old motorcyclist from Fairfield was rushed to a local hospital but died from injuries suffered in the collision.
NAPA, CA — A motorcyclist died Sunday in a collision with an SUV, Napa police said.
Personnel with the Napa Fire Department responded at 12:41 p.m. to the intersection of Pueblo and Stadium avenues and began rendering aid to the motorcyclist, Napa police Sgt. Kristofer Jenny said in a news release.
An ambulance crew soon arrived and rushed the motorcyclist to a local hospital.

"Despite lifesaving efforts, the 26-year old male from Fairfield succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the hospital," Jenny said.
The driver of the SUV, a 35-year-old Napa woman, is cooperating with the investigation, Jenny said.

"Members of the Law Enforcement, Fire Service and EMS Chaplaincy of Napa County responded to assist the families of the involved parties," Jenny said.
A preliminary investigation by the Napa Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team indicated the motorcyclist was traveling west on Pueblo Avenue when he collided with the SUV which was in the intersection at Pueblo and Stadium avenues.
"Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor at this point in the investigation," Jenny said.
The Napa County Sheriff-Coroner's Office was expected to release the motorcyclist's identity once his next of kin were properly notified.
Pueblo Avenue was closed between Rexford Mobile Estates and the Boys & Girls Club for some 6 hours Sunday due to the fatal crash.
