Motorcyclist Identified In Fatal Napa Crash

The 35-year-old Napa man was rushed to the hospital but his injuries were too grave, authorities said.

NAPA, CA — Authorities identified a Napa man as the motorcyclist who died Friday in a crash on Salvador Avenue.

Christopher Ryan Dimick, 35, was pronounced dead at 4:36 p.m. Friday at Queen of the Valley Medical Center, the Napa County Sheriff-Coroner's Office said.

Dimick was not wearing a helmet when he crashed his motorcycle at 4:06 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of Salvador Avenue east of Jefferson Street, Napa police said.

He was rushed to the hospital but his injuries were too grave, authorities said.

Napa Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Team responded to investigate the crash, which involved talking with several witnesses, Napa police Sgt. Aaron Medina said.

"The preliminary investigation indicated the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved and speed was a factor," Medina said.

It was not immediately known if alcohol or drugs were a factor, the sergeant said.
