NAPA COUNTY, CA — Halloween is here! As kids anticipate costumes and trick-or-treating, it's important to ensure they're safe and secure on the night of spooky thrills. Checking to see how safe your Napa County neighborhoods are is one way to start.
The California Department of Justice has a Megan's Law website which provides information on registered sex offenders, pursuant to California Penal Code § 290.46, so the public can better protect themselves and their families.
According to the website, there are 143 registered sex offenders in Napa County, 15 of whom are in violation of their registrant terms. Forty-three of the offenders do not have current addresses, including three who are living as transients. Below is a map of where the registered sex offenders reside in Napa County.

1. Go to the Megan's Law website.

2. From the options on the left-hand column, click on "Search Offenders."
3. Accept the site's terms of use to proceed to the next web page.
4. A web page with a map is generated. From the options on the left, click on "City Search" or "ZIP Code Search," and enter your city or ZIP code.
5. A map and list are generated. Zoom in on the map to view detailed address information for the registered sex offenders. Click on "List" to view their photos, addresses and offense information.
