Napa Gang-Related Shootings, Stabbings Probed

One suspect was arrested in connection with a shooting Saturday, police said. Five people were wounded in a stabbing attack on Friday.

NAPA, CA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in the investigation of two gang-related incidents over the 4th of July weekend, the Napa Police Department said.

One suspect was arrested in connection with a shooting Saturday at a Pueblo Avenue apartment complex, police said.

Nobody was injured in the shooting according to police.

The shooting followed a Friday night attack in which five people suffered stab wounds according to police.

The shooting incident was preceded by three suspects getting into an argument with an unspecified number of people at the apartment complex in which gang slurs were yelled according to witnesses’ account, police said.

A small grey vehicle described as one of the suspect vehicles was located at California Boulevard and Pueblo Avenue and a high-risk stop led to the suspect’s arrest, police said.

The suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm Glock style handgun with a high-capacity extended magazine, brass knuckles, a knife and a blue bandana, police said.

The other suspect vehicle was described as a red truck.
