OBITUARY: Josephine L. Grupalo, Yountville

Josephine L. Grupalo of Yountville died Nov. 6. She was born in Berkeley on Feb. 5, 1915.

Mrs. Grupalo lived in Emeryville most of her life. She moved to Yountville to be with some of her family. She was a member of Fratallanza club and volunteered at Summit Hospital in Oakland.

She is survived by her children Antoinette “Toni” Caulfield (Patrick) of Oakland and Donald P. (Dolly) Grupalo of Yountville; nephews Peter Barale of Yountville and Steven Barale of Danville; grandchildren Lizann Grupalo, Sara Palacio, Joseph Caulfield and Colleen Haast and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Augustus Grupalo.

A funeral Mass was held on Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yountville, followed by the burial at 1 p.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in San Pablo. In Lieu of flowers memorial donation are suggested for the charity of your choice.
