Parts Of Napa County Go Under NWS Wind Advisory
The advisory goes into effect noon Monday and ends at 8 p.m.
NAPA COUNTY, CA — The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for the North Bay Mountains and other parts of the Bay Area that are already at high risk for wildfires.
The advisory goes into effect Monday at noon and ends at 8 p.m.
Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, and gusts could top out at 55 mph according to the NWS.

Parts of Napa County have enacted tough water restriction measures amid a historic drought.
Persistent warm, dry weather has drained local reservoir storage capacity to historically low levels.

Much of the West Coast, including nearly all of California, is experiencing drought conditions.
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, as of June 1, 94.6 percent of California is in a severe drought, 74.3 percent of the state is in an extreme drought and 24 percent of the state is experiencing "exceptional drought" conditions.
