Q And A: Let's Get To Know Fitness Revolution Napa
By using a question-and-answer format, our hope is that you'll get to know your local business operators on a more personal level.
NAPA, CA — As part of a Patch initiative to help local businesses hit hard by the coronavirus crisis, we are working to highlight at least one business per week here on Napa Valley Patch. By using a question-and-answer format, our hope is that you'll get to know your local business operators and merchants on a more personal level.
This week, we'd like to introduce you to fitness coach Tiffany Larson, who is co-owner of Fitness Revolution Napa alongside her husband, Jeff Larson.
Q: How long have you been in business in Napa Valley?

A: Over 14 years! We started out as a women's only, outdoor bootcamp in 2006, eventually became coed and moved into a 5,600 square foot facility in 2010 and now offer fitness classes, personal training and massage.
Q: How has your business model changed in the last month or so? What did you do before that you can’t do now? And what are you doing now that you did not do before?

A: We have taken our whole program to a virtual Zoom setting. We are running our fitness classes on Zoom. We loaned out tons of equipment to our clients but still have to get very creative to create workouts that everyone can do at home. It is going great, but we are all looking forward to getting back into the facility where we will have more variety and flexibility based on the different tools we have available for in person training. We obviously can't provide massage right now. But virtual training is something we have never done before and it is going quite well with lots of great feedback from our clients and all the new members that have joined us over the past 6 weeks too!
Q: How are you spreading the word?
A: We have been running short term challenges, 2 to 3 weeks. In the first challenge we reached out to all of our past members and through social media to make a donation and we use half of it to buy gift cards from a local business and then we gave it back to the participant if they completed 6 virtual sessions in 2 weeks. It was a win-win for everyone! We will do this again soon.....
Q: What has been your mantra while going through these changes, and what has helped get you through it?
A: "One day at a time....." There has been so much of the unknown. How long will this last? What will it look like when we re-open? So we try not to look to far into the future because it can cause a bit of anxiety. We have the best members in the world, they have all been so positive and loyal and kind. So we put one foot in front of the other and get up and give them a great workout each day so that they can get through this as well.
Q: What would you like to say to current customers and potential customers?
A: Of course Thank you to our current customers! Our members have been wonderful through all of this, like a family, we have stuck together while being apart, we are so grateful. To potential customers I would just encourage them to reach out and try some workouts, I think a lot of people went into this in March thinking it would be over in 2 weeks and they would "get back to their workouts when things got back to normal" Well... 2 weeks past, and 4 and 6 and it isn't likely that many of the bigger gyms will reopen soon. So don't keep waiting. Start now, exercising will help with your stress and anxiety it will also combat some of the extra sitting and eating you might be doing these days!
Q: Anything else you would like to add?
A: Please join us for a free workout! We work with all fitness levels and provide different options no matter where you are at on your fitness journey. Even from home!
