NAPA VALLEY, CA — Golden State Warriors' star player, Stephen "Steph" Curry, brought large crowds Wednesday to the Safeway Open Pro Am held in Napa Valley at the sprawling Silverado Resort golf course.
Another popular pro-am play was Tony Romo, the former Dallas Cowboys NFL quarterback.
PGA stars such as Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, John Daly and Justin Thomas are among the players who will be teeing off in the first round Thursday of the Safeway Open, with the final round set for Sunday.

Jake Owen will headline the Safeway Open Concert Series Thursday, while Bad Company will take to the stage Friday. Rob Thomas will perform at 5:30 p.m. Saturday; all other performance are at 7 p.m. The price of admission to the Safeway Open includes access to the concerts.
