Thousands Lose Power In North Bay Due To Weather

BREAKING: Businesses and homes throughout the Bay Area affected.

BAY AREA, CA – Wind and rain heading into the Bay Area has already caused thousands of residents and businesses to lose power this morning -- with several North Bay neighborhoods hit.

In Napa County, 599 customers east of Silverado Trail lost electricity as of 7:21 a.m. Another 733 homes went dark as of 7 a.m. near Redwood Road and West Pueblo Avenue.

In the region near Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, 2,049 customers are affected.

And smaller outages include 111 customers in Winters, 185 west of Healdsburg and 129 east of Santa Rosa.

In the East Bay, as many as 11,500 PG&E customers lost power, mainly in the Richmond and San Pablo areas. As of 7:15 a.m. 10,700 were still without power, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

On the Peninsula, 3,800 PG&E customers lost power overnight, mainly in Burlingame, Millbrae and Redwood City.

There were no significant power outages reported in the South Bay or in Santa Cruz beach area.
