70-Year-Old Man Killed In North Hollywood, Suspect Arrested

Police say the man was struck in the head on Sunday evening, and pronounced dead at the scene.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A 70-year-old man was killed Sunday evening after police say a man struck him in the head with an unknown object in North Hollywood. The incident happened around 8:50 p.m. at 5708 Klump Ave., a home near the intersection of Burbank Boulevard and Vineland Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.\

Information on what led up to the assault wasn't immediately known. Police said a 50-year-old man suspected of committing the crime was taken into custody.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity or a description wasn't released. Other details weren't immediately available.
