Another Heat Advisory Announced For North Hollywood

Significantly cooler temperatures will not arrive until next weekend according to the National Weather Service.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Yet another heat wave is coming to the San Fernando Valley this week. Temperatures are expected to reach 93 degrees in North Hollywood today, and will continue to soar through Friday.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. Tuesday until 5 p.m. Friday. NWS forecasts temperatures of 97 on Tuesday, and 98 degrees from Wednesday through Friday.
The city hasn't yet announced if cooling centers will be reopened during the heat wave.

Low humidity and dry conditions are also expected, creating an elevated fire risk through Tuesday.

Residents are reminded to never leave pets or children in hot cars, and to avoid going outside during the hottest periods of the day unless necessary.
