Burbank Man Fatally Shot During Possible Home Invasion

At least two suspects are still being sought, and an investigation is underway.

BURBANK, CA — A man was fatally shot Tuesday morning during what police are investigating as a possible home invasion.

Officers went to an apartment in the 200 block of West Tujungan around 1:45 a.m., after receiving several calls about a disturbance at the location. At least one person reported hearing gunfire, according to Lt. Derek Green of the Burbank Police Department.

After arriving at the apartment, officers were met by a "distraught" woman who took them to an upstairs apartment, where they found a wounded man who died at the scene.

The victim's name was withheld until relatives could be notified.

Police were searching for at least two suspects, but a description was not available.

"Investigators are looking for a motive and trying to determine what circumstances led up to the shooting, including the possibility of a home invasion-type robbery," Sgt. Emil Brimway said in a statement.
