CA State Assembly District 39: Los Angeles Voters Decide

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Local voters are deciding whether incumbent Luz Maria Rivas (D-CA) will continue representing California State Assembly District 39, or if Republican Ricardo Benitez will replace her. District 39 contains North Hollywood, Tujunga, Sylmar, Sun Valley and nearby communities.

Rivas took home 77.8% of votes in the March 3 primary. Benitez came in at a distant second with 22.2% of votes, earning the right to challenge Lieu in the general election.
