Construction Worker Trapped Under Marble Slabs Rescued By LAFD
A man was trapped between several large marble slabs and a forklift on a construction site.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — An adult construction worker was trapped between several slabs of marble and a forklift in North Hollywood Tuesday morning. The incident was reported at 9:38 a.m. at 10725 W Vanowen St. near Riverton Avenue.
Details on how the man became trapped weren't immediately available. Witnesses said he was trapped between nearly 6,000 lbs. of marble and a forklift. Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said the victim was conscious and breathing, and that 20 firefighters were able to rescue him in less than 15 minutes.
The victim was taken to the hospital in fair condition. Another worker on the scene was treated for a minor elbow injury he received during the rescue, but was not expected to go to the hospital.
