Film Composer Saarth Desai Joins Rohini Chandra's New Film

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Noted film composer Saarth Desai ("Unborn") has joined the upcoming untitled film from actress/producer Rohini Chandra (“Sama”).

The film, whose plot remains under wraps, is a suspense drama that follows Chandra’s cinematic style of incorporating complex characters in realistic situations.

“I can’t talk about the plot yet while the film is in pre-production, but it will be very engaging and captivating for viewers,” Saarth said. “I am still working on music for the film but I can already tell that it will definitely be something very different from the other projects I’ve worked on. It is a great experience working with Rohini Chandra and her team.”

The film will announce its cast later this year and tentatively begin shooting in the fall, for release next year.

“Before composing music, first I read the script and understand the story, then I talk to the producer and the director what genre of music they would like to have in the film,” Saarth said. “Using their ideas and mine together, I compose some samples and when I get the ok signal that’s how I go ahead and try to give them the best. I always believe in working together as a team.”

Saarth comes to this film after working on Rashmi Rustagi’s family drama “Unborn,”. The film follows his earlier work on films like “This Beautiful Journey,” “What Do I Do,” “Chance,” and music video projects like “Zaalima,” “Meherbani,” and now “Brass” project which is underway with filmmaker Anuj Jamadagni.
