Ford Theatres Artists Partnership Program Opens Letters of Intent Applications
The program supports LA County independent artists, presenters, and nonprofit arts organizations by co-producing their performances.

From The Ford Theatre Foundation: Letters of Intent are now being accepted for the Ford Theatres Artists Partnership Program. The program supports Los Angeles County independent artists, nonprofit arts organizations, presenters, producers and producing collectives with a history of presenting arts events, by co-producing their performances in the historic 1,200-seat John Anson Ford Amphitheatre. The Artists Partnership Program is a cornerstone of the Ford Theatres summer season and makes up the bulk of events that take place.
For 2018, the Ford has redesigned the Artists Partnership Program application process to include a Letter of Intent (LOI) followed by a full application invitation. The new application process was created to make it easier for artists and producers to apply, to increase the number of applicants and to help bring new artists and audiences to the Ford.
The Ford will consider LOIs that reflect the Ford Theatres’ mission to bring people together for transformative arts experiences that inspire, empower and ignite cultural exchange. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the Ford Theatres Partnership Program guidelines before submitting an LOI.

The Ford Theatres Artists Partnership Program is a competitive program that provides the opportunity to co-present during the Ford Theatres’ summer season in its historic outdoor amphitheatre. Using a shared risk revenue model, participants chosen will receive preferred dates and access to the fully renovated venue, including lighting and sound equipment, and production, marketing and box office support. Participants retain 80-90% of ticket sales and are responsible for bringing the proposed event to fruition.
